I want to Support Dementia Auckland
Supporting people to live well with dementia isn't something that only needs to happen once. To truly make a difference, regular donations are needed. That's where you come in.
What is monthly giving?
With only 45% of our funding coming from DHBs, we rely on the support of donors and funders to support as many people as possible to live well with dementia. People who care for and want to support Dementia Auckland can make a regular contribution each month. Regardless of the amount, you'll make a true difference.
How does it help?
The carer education, home visits and socialisation services that we provide help to slow down the progression of dementia, make it easier for carers and people with dementia to deal with changes in their lives, and turn the dementia journey into one that isn't all negative. But to give people the ongoing support they need, we need ongoing support ourselves.
Monthly giving can help provide regular services to our clients – whether a key worker regularly visiting a carer to help them cope with the challenges of caring for a person with dementia, or our socialisation programme that enables a person with dementia to take part in an art class or walking group, which helps them stay social, positive, and engaged.
